about

Ready-Set-Bag! is an interactive educational mobile game designed to help Grade 6 students develop practical earthquake preparedness skills through immersive and engaging gameplay. Instead of relying solely on traditional lectures or passive awareness campaigns, the game transforms disaster preparedness into a hands-on learning experience where students must quickly identify, prioritize, and pack essential survival items under realistic constraints such as limited time and carrying capacity. By combining game-based learning with real-world preparedness concepts aligned with PHIVOLCS and OCD guidelines, the system encourages active participation, critical thinking, and decision-making in emergency scenarios.

Built around competency-oriented gameplay, Ready-Set-Bag! integrates educational theories and interactive mechanics to create a localized learning experience that is both meaningful and engaging for young learners. Through progressive challenges, feedback systems, and preparedness-focused activities, the game aims to strengthen students’ understanding of go-bag preparation while making earthquake readiness more accessible, memorable, and enjoyable. The system also includes classroom-oriented monitoring and reporting features that support teachers in tracking student participation and preparedness performance during gameplay sessions.

Drag and Pack: The player drags items from inventory into the go-bag using a drag-and-drop interface. A real-time weight meter reflects the total load.

Completion
3. COMPLETION

Scenario Quiz: After packing, the player answers scenario-based questions by dragging their answer to the correct response area. Questions are tied to earthquake survival contexts, and both correct and incorrect answers are followed by feedback explaining the survival rationale.
